Dedi Mulyadi Removes Vehicle Tax Fines In West Java, Here Are The Conditions!

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi issued a policy to abolish all motor vehicle tax arrears, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled for people who have not yet paid their obligations until 2024.

Dedi conveyed that this policy applies in waiving motor vehicle tax arrears for people and business entities that own or control motorized vehicles in the jurisdiction of the West Java Regional Police and Polda Metro Jaya, until 2024 and back, without limiting the number of years.

The public is given the opportunity to extend the validity period of its vehicle tax from March 20 - June 6, 2025, by only paying the current year's tax without having to pay off previous arrears.

"We, the West Java Provincial Government, forgive all arrears in paying the motor vehicle tax but after Eid, please extend it," said Dedi.

Dedi reminded that vehicle taxes have an important role in infrastructure development, including road repairs. Therefore, he emphasized that after the arrears elimination period ends, vehicles that have not paid taxes will not be allowed to cross the highway, throughout West Java.

Regarding the possibility of losing potential regional income due to this policy, Dedi emphasized that do not think about losing potential, because this will create new taxpayers.

Because, said Dedi, people do not want to pay taxes, because the arrears have accumulated and cannot afford to pay.
