JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has opened a registration for free homecoming to the Thousand Islands. This program coincides with the free homecoming program that takes residents to 20 cities to celebrate Eid in their hometowns.

"Residents of the Thousand Islands who want to participate in free homecoming activities have registered," said Acting Regent Muhammad Fadjar Chuniawan to reporters, Wednesday, March 19.

Fadjar said that the registration of free boat tickets to the Thousand Islands ahead of Eid al-Fitr was opened on March 7 and closed on March 27, 2025. Currently, more than 700 residents have registered.

"The total number of people who have registered is 716 people for 6 Thousand Islands urban villages," said Fadjar.

There are 11 islands that are destinations for free homecoming departures, including Untung Jawa Island, Pari Island, Lancang Besar Island, Tidung Besar Island, Payung Besar Island, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island, Kelapa Island, Kelapa Dua Island, Harapan Island, and Sebira Island.

Meanwhile, the DKI Provincial Government has also reopened the registration for free homecoming in the second batch. The current quota is available again from the number of registrants who did not pass the verification in the first registration.
