Opened Until March 27, 700 Residents Register For Free Homecoming To The Thousand Islands

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has opened a registration for free homecoming to the Thousand Islands. This program coincides with the free homecoming program that takes residents to 20 cities to celebrate Eid in their hometowns.

"Residents of the Thousand Islands who want to participate in free homecoming activities have registered," said Acting Regent Muhammad Fadjar Chuniawan to reporters, Wednesday, March 19.

Fadjar said that the registration of free boat tickets to the Thousand Islands ahead of Eid al-Fitr was opened on March 7 and closed on March 27, 2025. Currently, more than 700 residents have registered.

"The total number of people who have registered is 716 people for 6 Thousand Islands urban villages," said Fadjar.

There are 11 islands that are destinations for free homecoming departures, including Untung Jawa Island, Pari Island, Lancang Besar Island, Tidung Besar Island, Payung Besar Island, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island, Kelapa Island, Kelapa Dua Island, Harapan Island, and Sebira Island.

Meanwhile, the DKI Provincial Government has also reopened the registration for free homecoming in the second batch. The current quota is available again from the number of registrants who did not pass the verification in the first registration.

Candidates for free homecoming participants from the DKI Provincial Government can re-register online through mudikgratis.jakarta.go.id.

"Today, registration for the free homecoming program of the Batch 2 Provincial Government has begun, of which a total quota of 22,403 seats have been registered, after the first phase of verification, there are 4,298 seats remaining, namely 2,453 seats for homecoming and 1,845 seats for return," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency Syafrin Liputo to reporters, Wednesday, March 19.

In addition, the DKI Provincial Government also received additional bus seats from corporate social responsibility (CSR) of a number of companies, ranging from BUMD to private.

"There are an additional 27 buses or 1,161 seats, which are CSR from PT Bank DKI, PT Transjakarta, PT Vector, PT MRT Jakarta and PT LRT Jakarta," said Syafrin.

The total seats available in the second batch of free homecoming registrations were 5,459 seats, with details of 3,614 seats and 1,845 seats back. In this second wave, the DKI Transportation Agency will verify the registration documents from Thursday, March 20 to Sunday, March 24, 2025.

On this year's Eid, the DKI Provincial Government will send travelers to 20 cities in 6 provinces. Meanwhile, the motorcyclists were delivered to 6 terminals.

Free homecoming passengers will depart from the National Monument on March 27, 2025. Meanwhile, the truck carrying a motorbike will depart from the Pulogadung Terminal on March 26, 2025.

Then, the truck departure from the six terminals for homecoming to Jakarta will be carried out on April 5, 2025 and the bus returns to Jakarta from the 20 terminals for homecoming on April 6, 2025.
