JAKARTA - Dozens of clothing stalls and other kiosks at Poncol Market, Jalan Kalibaru Timur, RW 04, Bungur Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta, were scorched on Tuesday, March 18, early in the morning.
According to Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Asril Rizal, the fire was allegedly caused by an electrical short circuit.
"The alleged cause is an electrical short circuit. The number of stalls that caught fire was approximately 35 units," said Asril when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, March 18, morning.
The fire scorched about 200 square meters from 35 burning kiosks. Meanwhile, the loss is estimated at IDR 600 million.
