Broiler Chicken Charged Truck Driver Crashes Into Residents' Houses And Trees, Pinched Driver

JAKARTA - A truck loaded with broiler chickens slipped onto the sidewalk and finally hit a tree and a resident's house on Jalan Pondok Kopi Ujung, Pondok Kopi Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, on Tuesday, March 18, early in the morning.

The incident was reported to have occurred at around 04.10 WIB. As a result of this incident, two people were injured. The two victims were a truck driver and a resident who was in front of the house.

"The two victims were Reza (35), a truck driver, and a resident named Saiful (25). We evacuated the victim who had been pinched," said Firefighters officer to reporters, Tuesday, March 18.

The truck driver loaded with boillary chicken was caught in the cabin of the truck. Firefighters who arrived at the location immediately evacuated the victim.

"Four members of the Damkar rescue team were deployed. The evacuation process for traffic accident victims was completed at 04.50 WIB," he explained.

After successfully evacuating, the two victims, namely the truck driver and residents, were taken to Pondok Kopi Islamic Hospital for medical treatment.

According to eyewitness accounts, a resident named Saiful was initially in front of the house in the early hours of Tuesday.

"Suddenly the truck came sliding fast until it lost control. Then it hit residents and houses, then it just stopped after hitting a tree," said Dayat, a local resident.

The truck loaded with boillary chicken was then taken to the East Jakarta Traffic Traffic Unit office for further processing. This case is being handled by the East Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit.
