JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka emphasized the importance of adapting to artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology in facing increasingly complex global challenges.

In his speech at the HIPMI BPP Iftar with BPP, the Vice President invited members of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) not to see AI as a threat, but as a tool to increase productivity and creativity.

"Challenges like this require new innovations, breakthroughs, and usually the best and most out of the box are young people," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 17.

Vice President Gibran highlighted various crises that are being faced by the world, including the food, economic, energy, and geopolitical challenges crisis.

According to him, in conditions like this, innovation and new breakthroughs are needed, which are usually born from the younger generation.

The vice president emphasized that technological advances, such as AI, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies, are unavoidable. Therefore, it is important for young people to adapt quickly so they don't fall behind.

Vice President Gibran also shared his experience in encouraging AI adaptation among students.

"Last week I held several AI trainings at several schools for free, and this week they are in three more locations," he said.

The vice president also opened opportunities for HIPMI members who want to participate in the training.

Vice President Gibran emphasized that in developed countries, his government has actively encouraged AI adaptation among young people.

The Vice President emphasized that AI is not a substitute for humans, but a tool that can increase work efficiency.

"AI should not be considered a threat or a substitute for humans. AI is a tool to increase productivity and creativity," he said.

The Vice President also emphasized the importance of utilizing AI in the digital era.

"Humans who use AI will beat people who do not use AI. We want our young people to adapt quickly," he said.
