TANGERANG - Police arrested a man with the initials ZN (36). He was arrested on suspicion of opening a lottery gambling practice at Perumnas 4, Cibodas, Tangerang City, Wednesday, March 12.

Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho said ZN acted as a Togel gambling collector in his home area.

"We secure (ZN). He acts as a collector of the Hong Kong lottery gambling," Zain said when confirmed, Sunday, March 16.

Zain explained that in the process, the perpetrator gathered his partner from residents who wanted to bet a lottery. Later he will pair the numbers he collects to the online gambling site (judol).

"So the way to collect a partner/bet (money) is players," said Zain.

Regarding the chronology, Zain explained that the incident began when his party received reports from the public regarding the practice of online lottery gambling.

Then, his party conducted an investigation until finally arresting the perpetrator.

In addition, his party also found a number of evidences in the form of three cellphones and Rp225 thousand in cash from the hands of the perpetrators.

"The evidence is three cellphones as a means of communication, a means of playing through the JayaTogel.com (online) website with an account belonging to the ZN perpetrator. Transactions through certain private banks, along with cash, are suspected to be the result of a transaction of Rp. 225 thousand," explained Zain.

Currently, the perpetrator has been taken to the Tangerang City Metro Police for an in-depth examination of the perpetrator's motives for carrying out the action.

"The perpetrator and the evidence were brought to the Tangerang City Metro Police Headquarters for a more in-depth examination," concluded the former Tangerang Police Chief.
