JAKARTA - The government confirms that the assignment status of Lieutenant Colonel (Letkol) TNI Teddy Indra Wijaya as Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) by President Prabowo Subianto is based on strategic considerations in accordance with constitutional authority to ensure the effectiveness of the government and continuity of national policies.

"The government understands the existence of public attention and discussion regarding the status of Lieutenant Colonel (Letkol) TNI Teddy Indra Wijaya as Cabinet Secretary (Seskab)," said Minister of Communication and Trade Meutya Hafid.
Meutya said the President as the head of government and supreme commander of the Republic of Indonesia has full authority in determining his position and status of his subordinates, including Teddy's assignment as Cabinet Secretary.
He reiterated the Government's commitment to continue to respect the principles of law and democracy in every policy taken. Transparency and accountability are the top priorities in carrying out government duties.
