Police Chase Sabu Town After Arresting Makassar City Government Office

JAKARTA - Four unscrupulous State Civil Apparatus (ASN) officials of the Makassar City Government, South Sulawesi, were arrested by the police on suspicion of the methamphetamine case.

"Yes, that's right. There are four people, one of whom is known to the Assistant 1 (M. Sabri) and the other is the Head of the Makassar City Government. The assistant was arrested at his house when he was wearing (shabu)," said Head of Public Relations of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes E Zulpan, quoted by Antara, Saturday, 24 April.

The arrests of four civil servants from the Makassar City Government were carried out in two different places. The four of them were caught consuming methamphetamine when they were arrested at around 22.00 WITA, on Friday, April 23.

It is known that the four ASN officials with the initials MS, MY, S and IM are officials within the Makassar City Government. The four of them are now being examined intensively at the Makassar Police.

"While still being examined at the Makassar Police Narcotics Unit. Yes, we are still developing who the dealer is and where the goods come from. They (arrested) are city government officials," said Zulpan.
