There Is A More Sympathetic Way To Wake Up A Sahur Than Screaming

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII DPR, Rieke Diah Pitaloka spoke about the criticism of artist Zaskia Adya Mecca on how to wake up the sahur while shouting using a mosque toa. Because according to him, not everyone likes to be awakened in that way.

"If you then make a 'noise' so that people wake up, in my opinion that's not a way that not everyone likes, because you scream. What's more, using a microphone with a large capacity, it makes a lot of noise," said Diah to reporters, Saturday, 24 April.

Diah said that the act of waking the meal using mosque loudspeakers tends to be unsympathetic to the community. He considered that there was a more sympathetic way to wake up the meal, rather than shouting

"There are people waking up. It means, our culture in waking the sahur is a culture which is the environment between neighbors, between families. So if in the past there were knocks on the door, or kentongan around the village, and it was done with a very sympathetic approach. , "he explained.

Previously, the artist Zaskia Adya Mecca criticized the way people wake up the sahur using the mosque's Toa which he considered not good. According to him, awakening the sahur through the Toa mosque could be delivered with a better delivery.

In the video uploaded on Instagram as seen on Friday, April 23, Zaskia Adya Mecca asked about the model of waking up the sahur by shouting 'sahurrrya' in the mosque's Toa. He is confused if this method is called being a hit, aka a trend.

"I just want to ask, build this model again HITS he said ?! Then ethically don't use the mosque toa build this model ?? Moreover, we live in Indonesia where the religion also varies. Is that so it doesn't disturb others not to practice Shaur ?!" wrote Zaskia Adya Mecca.
