TANGERANG Head of PT Tunas Agro Indolestari Factory, Julianto, denied allegations related to the reduction in the dose of Minya Kita cooking oil produced at his factory. He emphasized that the production process at PT Tunas Agro Indolestari was in accordance with the predetermined measurement.

"We are here following the procedure. It is impossible for us to use scales of 750 to 700 milliliters as reported. We are not like that," said Julianto when met at his factory on Jalan Mekar Jaya, Sepatan, Tangerang Regency, Monday, March 10.

Julianto also explained that the Minya Kita cooking oil found by the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman at Lenteng Agung Market, South Jakarta, on Saturday, March 8, was not a product of PT Tunas Agro Indolestari, but from another company that he did not know his identity.

"What is being investigated is not from PT here. When there was an inspection at Sidak in Lenteng Agung by the Minister, it was not only PT Tunas Agro that was opened, but also a bottle. Well, the scale was indeed reduced in the bottle," explained Julianto.

He claimed that the Minya Kita product from PT Tunas Agro Indolestari did not violate any regulations because the amount produced was in accordance with applicable standards.

"As for the scales that are POTS (package) belonging to Tunas Agro, that's the right measure," he added.

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) at Lenteng Agung Market, South Jakarta, on Saturday, March 8. During the inspection, he found Minya Kita products that were not in accordance with the dose, where the contents of the packaging that should have been 1 liter only ranged from 750 to 800 milliliters.

"This is clearly not enough 1 liter," said Minister Andi Amran after finding the discrepancy.

The Minister of Agriculture emphasized that companies that are proven to have committed violations must be legally processed.

"We ask for processing and if found guilty, we ask that this factory be closed and their products are sealed," he said in a firm tone.
