Viral Salary Slip For Pertamina Cleaning Officers Of IDR 13 Million, These Are The Facts

JAKARTA - A photo showing a Pertamina cleaning officer slip which amounted to Rp.13,625,000 suddenly went viral. The salary slip is dated April 7, 2021.

The slip, which is a handwritten form, bears the Pertamina logo and details the basic salary and bonuses received by the employee. Actually, the basic salary is only Rp. 3 million, but there are other bonuses that are fantastic in number.

The absent bonus was recorded at IDR 950,000, while the work bonus was IDR 1.5 million. However, the most fantastic of all is the overtime pay which amounts to IDR 8,175,000. After all, that amount is very large for the employee's salary.

The fantastic salary value for cleaning workers is what makes netizens curious. However, there was one problem, the paycheck was handwritten. Are the payslips genuine?

Reported by Kompas, the salary slip turned out to be a fake and was not issued by Pertamina. Pertamina said that the cleaning staff's salary was paid by a third party.

"The information in the form of photos is untrue or an old hoax," said Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications & Investor Relations of PT Pertamina (Persero) Agus Suprijanto. "Pay slips do not use handwriting, in accordance with applicable procedures and are carried out in a professional manner," he continued.

In addition, Agus explained other evidence that the Pertamina cleaning worker salary slip with a nominal value of Rp13,625,000 was fake. "(Salary slips) do not use the Pertamina logo," he continued.
