Held Peaceful Action In Central Jakarta, KNPRI Values Indonesia Is Dark In Law Mafia Prosecutors

JAKARTA - The National Women's Committee of the Republic of Indonesia (KNPRI) held a peaceful demonstration to commemorate International Women's Day in Central Jakarta.

In the peaceful demonstration that hundreds of women participated in, they brought demands addressed to law enforcement officials and brought various kinds of criticism banners for the Attorney General's Office.

"We, the Indonesian women's coalition, assess that the performance of the attorney general's office is still not optimal," said Chairman of the National Women's Committee of the Republic of Indonesia (KNPRI) Mery Samiri when confirmed, Sunday, February 8.

According to Mery, the AGO is considered to be still selective in handling the law. He also mentioned that the immunity of the prosecutor's office, the legal monopoly and the number of case brokers in the institution added to the poor record of the Attorney General's Office

"If we don't scream or Pak Prabowo doesn't talk, Pertamina's mixed case has only been arrested without his superiors knowing," he said.

They demanded that Attorney General ST Burhanuddin thoroughly investigate the Pertamina case.

"There are many legal mafias, especially in prosecutors because the rule of law has been ridden," he said.
