Porsche Car Through To The Busway Lane, DKI Deputy Governor: Do Not Search, Surrender And Apologize

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, responded to the presence of a Porsche car driver who broke through the Transjakarta route. He asked the driver to report himself to the police and apologized to the public.

"We want those concerned and the awareness to convey it ourselves, there is no need to be looked for, chased. God willing, we hope that those concerned will come and report and apologize to all of us", said Riza at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Friday, 23 April.

In Article 90 paragraph (1) of DKI Jakarta, Regional Regulation Number 5 of 2014 concerning Transportation, vehicles that violate the busway route are subject to a maximum imprisonment of 2 months and/or a maximum fine of IDR 50 million.

For the violation, Riza asked the perpetrator to be aware and report himself. "If not, the Department of Transportation will take steps so that this does not happen again", he said.

The police also intervened in tracking down the whereabouts of a Porsche car that went viral on social media because it broke through the TransJakarta route. The action of the luxury car driver has broken the rules.

"The Porsche car is still being traced", said Head of Sub Directorate of Law Development and Enforcement Jakarta Police AKBP Fahri Siregar to VOI.

Porsche drivers break the rules because they are not traveling in the right lane. From the video circulating, the driver of the Porsche car had asked the TransJakarta bus driver to withdraw.

The TransJakarta bus driver was asked to back off so that the Porsche driver could get out of the special TransJakarta bus lane. Meanwhile, the tracking process was hit by a problem. Because Sultan Iskandar Muda Street, Gandaria, South Jakarta section, the location of the violation had not yet been installed with the e-TLE.

Fahri said that his party would use other methods to track the luxury car. "Later we will inform the progress of how we investigate", he said.
