Access To Disturbed Residents, Kemen PU Will Accelerate Repair Of Bogor Batulisulang Landslide

Bogor Mayor, Dedie A. Rachim, coordinated directly with the Ministry of Public Works (Kemen PU) regarding efforts to accelerate the handling of landslides on Saleh Danasasmita Street, Batutuli Village, Bogor City. As a result of the landslide, residents' access was disrupted so they had to go around 5 kilometers.

Through a video call connection, Dedie A. Rachim, explained the landslide incident to the Deputy Minister of Public Works, Diana Kusumastuti.

"We inform the Deputy Minister that the Batutulis underpass is still under maintenance by the contractor while waiting for the issuance of a function-worthy certificate," said Dedie, Wednesday.

However, to make efforts to accelerate improvement, the Bogor City Government has issued a Decree (SK) on disaster emergency response status.

"Thus, in the future, improvements can be accelerated through intervention from the central government. Because the Batutulis route is cut off, it has a direct impact on residents in the four urban villages, it is necessary to accelerate handling," he said.

In this communication, Deputy Minister Diana immediately paid special attention and would send a team to the location.

This was conveyed by the Deputy for Systems and Strategy of BNPB, Raditya Jati, after showing the picture of landslides.

"Yes, the Deputy Minister will immediately deploy a team to check the level of damage and make efforts to improve in the future," said Raditya.

Because, he continued, there is a potential risk of further landslides considering that the river flow area around the location is filled with settlements.

"So, this must begin to discuss how the solution in the future and acceleration in restoring the path function in Batutulis. Therefore, there will be further coordination between the Bogor City Government and the Ministry of Public Works," he said.

He also ensured that BNPB would continue to oversee this coordination so that the process of accelerating improvements could be carried out immediately.
