Dozens Of Tangerang Residents Experience Post-flood Diseases

TANGERANG - After the flood that hit Tangerang City on Tuesday, March 4, dozens of affected residents began to experience health problems. The most common complaints were fever, dizziness, and itching due to skin disease.

"Residents complain of fever, headache, and itching or other skin diseases," said Head of the Tangerang City Health Service (Dinkes), dr. Dini Anggraeni, Thursday, March 5.

Responding to this condition, the Tangerang City Health Office conducted a health screening for flood victims, with a main focus on the elderly and comorbidities sufferers.

In addition, his party also pays special attention to sanitation in affected areas to prevent the spread of post-flood diseases.

As a responsive step, the Tangerang City Health Office has established 12 Health Posts in various locations affected by the flood, even though the puddles have receded.

Dozens of health workers were alerted 24 hours to ensure the health condition of the residents was maintained.

The health posts are divided into several categories, including static posts and mobile posts.

Some of the locations where the posts are located include:

Pedurenan Health Center: Al Irsyad Mosque, Nurul Hikmah Mosque, and Darussalam Mosque.

Lightning Health Center: Cantiga Village at the location of the Sapi Slaughter and mobile post services.

Tajur Health Center: Nurul Qobidh Mosque, Al Ittihad Mosque, and Tajur Village Office.

Puskesmas Sudimara Pinang: Musala Al Barokah and other mobile posts.

"Some posts are static in one location, while mobile health posts are aimed at reaching residents in remote settlements who do not evacuate to refugee posts," explained Dini.

With this step, it is hoped that the health of residents affected by the flood can be maintained and the risk of infectious diseases can be minimized.
