AHY Encourages Local Governments And Agencies To Handle Floods To Help Affected Residents

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) paid special attention to the floods that occurred in the Greater Jakarta area and a number of other areas.

According to him, the flooding caused by high rainfall interferes with various community activities.

"We pay special attention to people affected by floods in various cities. In Jabodetabek, Bekasi is also quite severe, and several other parts of Indonesia. This is high rainfall, extreme weather," said AHY when met by reporters at the Presidential Palace complex. Jakarta, Tuesday, March 4.

In order to anticipate the same thing during Eid, AHY emphasized that flood disasters must be anticipated together. AHY emphasized the handling of affected residents.

"Don't let victims happen that we don't expect, including preventing the worse in various regions," said AHY.

AHY hopes that the relevant agencies can be responsible for dealing with flooding.

"This is the responsibility of all of us. Hopefully, with all of our efforts, we can immediately reduce the impact of the flood disaster," explained AHY.
