BNN Raided Traditional Medicine Shophouse, 10.9 Kg Of Shabu Confiscated

TANGERANG The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Tangerang City managed to dismantle a new mode of narcotics trafficking in the Tanah Tinggi Village area. A shophouse under the guise of a traditional medical treatment place turned out to be a storage location for 10.9 kilograms of methamphetamine.

The head of the Tangerang City BNN, AKBP Josephien Vivick Tjankung, revealed that this narcotics network came from Aceh. They use traditional medicine as camouflage to distribute the illicit goods.

"From the results of the investigation, this type of methamphetamine was sent in 11 packages by land from Aceh to Tangerang City. Upon arrival at the location, methamphetamine was stored in a shophouse which looked like a place of treatment," explained Vivick, Monday, March 3.

The building consists of three floors, where the first floor functions as a car repair shop, while the second and third floors are used for the operation of this narcotics network.

In addition to confiscating methamphetamine, BNN also arrested several people suspected of being involved in the narcotics trafficking.

Vivick appealed to the public to stay away from drugs and immediately report if they find out about suspicious activities in the surrounding environment.

"We also open free rehabilitation services for those who fall into drug abuse. Don't hesitate to come to the Tangerang City BNN," he added.

The Tangerang City BNN is committed to continuing to tighten supervision to eradicate narcotics trafficking networks, especially among the younger generation.
