Government Holds Free Homecoming For Eid 2025, Quota For 100,000 People

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said the government held a free Eid 2025 homecoming to help underprivileged communities with a quota of 100,000 people.

"Free homecoming is 100,000 people, both buses, trains, and ships," AHY said at a press conference at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, Tangerang, Saturday, March 1.

The free homecoming program is the result of cooperation between the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of SOEs. The government seeks to provide land and sea transportation facilities for people who want to go home or return to their hometowns to welcome Lebaran 2025.

AHY said that the free homecoming program is expected to provide assistance and ease of travel for the community. This program is also an implementation of President Prabowo Subianto's instructions to related ministries and stakeholders.

"This is the government's effort, of course the special directives and directives of Mr. President Prabowo Subianto who wants to make people's journey in the holy month of Ramadan, especially Eid, more secure, comfortable, affordable, and fun," AHY added.

In addition to free homecoming, the government also provides discounted plane tickets during the Lebaran 2025 to 14% homecoming period for the purchase period from March 1, 2025 to April 7, 2025, with flight schedules from March 24 to April 7, 2025.

The government also provides a tariff discount of 20% for all toll roads during the Lebaran 2025 homecoming season.

This is in accordance with President Prabowo's instructions asking for a reduction in toll rates, plane ticket prices, and holding free homecoming for the public to welcome Eid al-Fitr 2025.
