20 Percent Discount Toll Rates During Eid Homecoming

Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Development of the Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) Region said the government imposed a 20 percent toll rate discount to make it easier for the public to go home this year.

"The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has coordinated, for road users there is a 20 percent discount for toll rates at a number or on various toll roads in Indonesia," AHY said at a press conference at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, Saturday, March 1 reported by ANTARA.

According to him, the 20 percent discount on toll rates is expected to reduce the cost of road travel for travelers.

"This is also an effort to reduce the cost of land travel for our community," he said.

For information, President Prabowo Subianto announced eight policies to encourage economic growth in the first quarter of 2025, including a stimulus to leverage people's purchasing power.

One of them is the Ramadan-Lebaran 2025 stimulus which includes discounted flight ticket prices, discounted toll rates, discounted shopping programs such as Harbolnas 2025, the EPIC Sales 2025 program, and the 2025 Discount BINA.

The government will continue to implement strategic policies to encourage economic growth.

President Prabowo Subianto has instructed to reduce toll rates and toll ticket prices to facilitate community mobility during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri/2025 AD.

This policy was taken as part of the government's efforts to support the smooth flow of homecoming and ensure the comfort of the community in fasting and celebrating holidays.

Toll rates on several main roads will also be lowered during the Eid holidays and Nyepi Day, which this year falls close together.

The President also asked the Minister of Transportation, Minister of SOEs, Minister of Public Works, and all relevant ministers to continue to monitor and ensure the smooth running of transportation facilities and public services during the homecoming period.
