KPK Working On 2 Former Deputy Ministry Of SOEs Regarding Allegations Of Corruption In The Sale And Purchase Of Gas PT PGN

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled an examination of two former Deputys at the Ministry of SOEs today, Wednesday, February 26. Those who were worked on as witnesses related to alleged corruption related to the cooperation in buying and selling gas between PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) or PGN with PT Isar Gas/PT Inti Alasindo Energi (IAE) in 2017 2021.

"The examination was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika in a written statement, Wednesday, February 26.

The two former deputies questioned were Aloysius K. RO as the former Deputy for Business Restructuring and Development at the Ministry of SOEs and Hambra as the former Deputy for Business Restructuring and Development at the Ministry of SOEs.

Tessa has not yet detailed the matter of the examination. However, both are suspected of knowing the buying and selling process which led to a presumptuous practice.

"The KPK has scheduled an examination of witnesses for alleged criminal acts related to the cooperation in buying and selling gas between PT PGN and PT IAE," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK on May 13, 2024 announced that it had started an investigation into the alleged corruption case at PT PGN Tbk. in the 2018-2020 fiscal year. The investigation into the alleged corruption case was based on the results of an audit by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The alleged corruption occurred in the process of buying and selling gas between PT PGN and a company with the initials PT IG in 2018-2020 and is said to have caused state finances of up to hundreds of billions of rupiah.

The KPK has also asked the Directorate General of Immigration for two people abroad. Based on information, they are Danny Praditya who is the Commercial Director of PT PGN for the 2016-2019 period and serves as President Director of PT Inalum and Iswan Ibrahim who is the President Director of PT Isargas.
