Treated For Pneumonia Doubles, Pope Francis Meets Vatican Officials At Hospital

JAKARTA - Pope Francis, who is in critical condition due to double pneumonia, met with Vatican officials at the hospital to discuss work issues.

The 88-year-old whale spent his 12th day at Rome's Gemelli hospital, his longest inpatient for nearly 12 years of his papal period.

The Pope rested well throughout the night, the Vatican said in a statement one sentence that did not provide further details reported by Reuters on Tuesday, February 25.

A Vatican official, who did not want to be named for not being authorized to discuss the Pope's condition, said Pope Francis ate normally, moved in the hospital room, and continued his treatment.

The Vatican said Pope Francis met with his deputy, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, and deputy Parolin on Monday.

They discussed some pending matters to gain status as holy people. The Vatican also announced a new appointment requiring the Pope's approval.

Pope Francis sometimes works from the hospital because Vatican affairs continue to run as long as he is sick.

The only known VIP whale visitor was Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who visited her on February 19.

On Monday, the Vatican said the Pope's condition was still critical but showed little improvement', and said light kidney condition', which was first reported on weekends, had nothing to worry about.
