JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR, Bahtra, responded to the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which ordered the Indonesian KPU to hold a Re-Pilkada in 24 regions.

Bahhir asked the district KPU to be more thorough. He also regretted the KPU's inaccuracy which was detrimental to the fighting parties.

"We hope that in determining the candidate, the district KPU must be careful regarding the administration and requirements of the candidate. Because, if not, the district KPU will harm the candidate who has fought and won, but they will be disqualified due to administrative considerations," Bahtra told reporters, Tuesday, February 25.

Regarding this issue, the Gerindra legislator said that Commission II of the DPR would hold an evaluation meeting for the implementation of the regional elections by summoning the KPU to Bawaslu. However, he did not mention when the meeting was.

"Later we will discuss it during the election evaluation meeting," said Bahtra.
