Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Tri Suhartanto said the investigation was carried out to reveal a series of events that caused MRD's death.

"MRD died after a pair of scissors he used while playing a suicide scene in the art performance penetrated his left stomach and chest cavity," Tri said in Cimahi, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, February 25.

According to witnesses, the victim borrowed the scissors from his friend without the knowledge of the teacher. Although MRD was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved.

The police chief explained that the witnesses initially thought that the incident was still part of the drama scene because it took place during the school art performance. The victim MRD was known to have stood up and walked staggered before finally falling and dying.

Tri added that investigators had also secured a number of evidences, including properties used in drama scenes and drama scripts with juvenile delinquency themeds.

"The police are still investigating the contents of the script and the chronology of events to reveal the exact cause of the student's death. We will convey further developments after the investigation is complete," he said.
