DKJ Prepares Integrated Transportation, TransJakarta Immediately Enters Bogor

BOGOR - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) is trying to overcome this problem with the Provincial Government of the Jakarta Special Region (DKJ) to find the best solution, one of which is by accelerating the integration of the TransJakarta route to Bogor City.

This was conveyed by the Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim, on the sidelines of his busy schedule following the retret of regional heads in Akmil Magelang.

"With the current conditions, where almost 80,000 Bogor people use the Commuter Line train every day, plus tens of thousands of four-wheeled vehicles passing on the Jagorawi Toll Road, the available public transportation facilities have not been able to accommodate the needs of the community adequately," said Dedie A. Rachim in Magelang, Monday 24 February.

According to him, with the support of the DKJ Provincial Government in facilitating connectivity between Jakarta and Bogor City, it is hoped that it can reduce the burden on the Jagorawi Toll Road by encouraging private vehicle users to switch to TransJakarta.

Responding to this, the Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, expressed his readiness to support technically, including planning the implementation of a vehicle restriction system that enters the Jakarta area and preparing a public transportation development scheme that is integrated with cities around DKJ.

"Of course, with an adequate level of service quality, the tariff is still affordable," said Pramono.

At the end, Pramono revealed that the number of private vehicles entering Jakarta almost reached more than 10 million vehicles per day.
