2025 Agrinovation Conference: Encourage Innovation And Collaboration For The Future Of Indonesian Agriculture

JAKARTA - The 2025 Agrinovation Conference organized by Edufarmers and Indonesian Farmers Youth officially opened on February 22. This event marks an important achievement in encouraging agricultural innovation and collaboration in Indonesia.

More than 1,500 participants attended this conference, including farmers, policymakers, industry leaders, agritech startups, and investors, who exchanged knowledge, ideas, and solutions to face challenges and take advantage of opportunities in the Indonesian agricultural sector.

This conference opened with a key speech from President Prabowo Subianto who emphasized the important role of innovation in realizing food sovereignty and Indonesia's economic growth.

In addition, this conference also resulted in valuable insight and commitment from important figures in agriculture and technology. Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman praised this event as a vital platform for collaboration, where the ministry signed the MoU with Edufarmers as a form of joint commitment to support initiatives that encourage innovation and empowerment of farmers.

In a panel involving Arief Prasetyo Adi (Head of the National Food Agency) and Rachmat Pamudy (Minister of Bappenas), Prof. Dadan Hindayana (Head of the Food Security Agency) highlighted the potential for economic growth of 8% through the Nutrition Eating Program in Schools.

"The 'Eating on Nutrition' Program is a multi-phase approach to combat malnutrition and improve the quality of Indonesian human resources. By providing nutritious food in schools, accompanied by consistent nutrition and monitoring education, we invest in the health, intelligence, and productivity of the nation's children in the future," said Prof. Dadan, from an official statement received by VOI on Saturday, February 22.

He also added that this program can increase farmers' income as well as small and medium enterprises because it creates stable and continuous demand.

The 'Eating on Nutrition' program will greatly increase national food security. We are developing a strategy to ensure sufficient supply of local raw materials, thereby reducing Indonesia's dependence on imported products," said H. Arief Prasetyo.

This conference not only presents keynotes and interesting discussions about regenerative agriculture, carbon agriculture, GMO, and agricultural financing, but also displays the latest innovations in the field of agritech. One of them is Putri Alamsyah, Public Policy in Google Indonesia, which highlights the potential transformational AI in agriculture.

"AI has the potential to empower farmers with data-based insights, optimize resource allocations, and increase decision making, which will ultimately increase productivity and sustainability." he said.
