JAKARTA - Chairperson of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Doni Monardo issued an Addendum to Circular Number 13 of 2021 concerning the elimination of the Idulfitri 1442 Hijriah homecoming.

In the addendum, Doni tightened travel requirements two weeks before the homecoming ban, namely April 22 to May 5 and one week after the implementation of the Eid homecoming ban, May 18 to 24.

"The purpose of this circular addendum is to regulate the requirements for domestic travelers during D-14 for eliminating homecoming and D + 7 for eliminating homecoming. While the elimination of homecoming from 6 to 17 May remains in effect," Doni said in the addendum, quoted by VOI on Thursday, 22 April.

Doni said, based on the results of a survey by the Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Transportation, it was found that there were still a group of people who wanted to go to pudik a week before and after the ban on going home.

Therefore, the aim of this addendum is to anticipate the flow of population movements that have the potential to increase the transmission of cases between regions in the period before and after the elimination of the homecoming period.

The protocol is that travelers for air, train, sea, and sea crossings on D-14 and H + 7 are obliged to show a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results or antigen rapid test whose samples are taken a maximum of 1x25 hours before departure.

If you want to use GeNose, do it just before departure. Then, the traveler must fill out Indonesia's e-HAC.

"Especially for routine trips with sea transportation modes for limited shipping within the area of one sub-district / regency / province or an urban agglomeration area (Jabodetabek) are not required to show a negative test result letter," said Doni.

As for the protocol for land public transportation travelers, a random rapid test antigen or GeNose test will be carried out by the respective regional COVID-19 Task Force.

For private land transportation players, Doni appealed to the RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test, the samples of which were taken a maximum of 1x24 hours before departure.

"Or the GeNose C19 test in the rest area as a requirement to continue the trip and a random test will be carried out if the regional COVID-19 Task Force is needed," he said.

Doni said that children under the age of 5 are not required to take a COVID-19 test as a condition for travel.

Then, if the test results are negative but the traveler has symptoms, they cannot continue their journey and are required to return to the RT-PCR test and self-isolation
