JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of Pro-Jokowi (Projo) as well as the Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi was reluctant to reveal the contents of his meeting with the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Budi also refused to answer when asked about the discourse of forming a new party with Jokowi. He only asked the public to wait.

"Just wait, we'll wait," Budi said in response to reporters' questions when met at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, February 20, which was confiscated by Antara.

Budi on that occasion chose to emphasize his position in the ranks of supporters of President Prabowo Subianto-Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka's government.

"What is certain is that we must support Pak Prabowo's government so that it can be successful in the midst of various dynamic world conditions," said Budi.

Meanwhile, when he was again asked for a response regarding the discourse of a new party, Budi jokingly mentioned the party's name.

"Super Tbk Party. Yes, it's been translated. Parties are from the people, by the people, for the people," Budi said as he walked towards his vehicle.

He declined to explain further about the discourse of forming the new party.

"That's the first time. Not too much," continued Budi.

At the same location, Wednesday, February 19, Budi revealed his plan to meet Jokowi in Jakarta. However, he did not explain further the purpose of the meeting, including the things to be discussed.

"Just talk," said Budi Arie in response to questions about the purpose of the meeting.

"Anyway, for Indonesia, for the country, nation and people," said Budi at the Presidential Palace Complex, Wednesday, February 19.

Budi revealed his plan to meet Jokowi on the day President Prabowo inaugurated Brian Yuliarto as Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (mendiktisaintek) replacing Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro.

Brian's inauguration marks the first reshuffle of the Red and White Cabinet since President Prabowo officially formed a cabinet on October 21, 2024.
