JAKARTA - BUMD Perumda PAM Jaya distributes free water reservoirs for household customers in the DKI Jakarta area. This program aims to ensure that Jakarta residents still have water reserves when supplies are limited.

PAM Jaya President Director Arief Nasrudin said that people who have been facing difficulties in obtaining drinking water supply need to use the water reservoir.

"We hope that with this water reservoir, residents can store water more efficiently and still have water reserves when supply is limited. This will of course help them meet very important daily needs, such as drinking water, cooking, cleaning, and the health of their families," said Arief in his statement, Wednesday, February 19.

Since its launch in November 2024, PAM Jaya has distributed 202 water reservoir units to customers in West Jakarta and North Jakarta. This program is intended to ensure that residents in low supply areas continue to have access to drinking water evenly, especially when the water supply pressure decreases.

Arief Nasrudin emphasized that this program is one of the company's priorities to overcome the challenges of water distribution in areas with low supply pressures such as Kosambi, Pademangan, Kota Tua, to Pademangan.

"PAM Jaya realizes that several areas experience limited supply, especially in pipeline networks in areas with low pressure. Therefore, we want to ensure that people can still access drinking water through this free reservoir assistance," explained Arief.

He continued, coordination with various parties, including members of the council who have constituents in the low supply area, continues to be carried out so that this program can reach people who really need it.

"We hope that with the water reserves, residents can meet their daily needs such as drinking, cooking, washing, and maintaining personal hygiene and an environment that is important for health," he added.
