After The Meeting With The President, AHY: Please Pray, The Transportation For Eid Homecoming Is More Affordable

JAKARTA - The government continues to strive so that the price of land, sea and air transportation tickets, during the Lebaran 2025 homecoming season, is more affordable for the community.

Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) conveyed that the Eid Al-Fitr 2025 homecoming trip must run safely, smoothly, and not financially burdensome.

"Please pray, so that this can run smoothly. Because we want the Indonesian people to be able to carry out worship as well as later the Lebaran homecoming will run safely, smoothly, and comfortably, and transportation will also be more affordable," said AHY after a limited meeting at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 18, which was confiscated by Antara.

In a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto and related agencies, AHY said that the government was still finalizing preparations for the Eid homecoming flow.

On that occasion, said AHY, President Prabowo gave directions so that the policies taken really take sides with the community, especially at times that are very much needed, such as Eid homecoming.

To make this happen, the government is currently discussing with the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of SOEs, and the Ministry of Finance to design a scheme that can reduce ticket prices.

"We have not been able to declare at this time, because we still need a little more time. I ask that the Ministry of Transportation, especially the Ministry of Transportation, will also sit together with the Ministry of SOEs of the Ministry of Finance and others," he said when asked when the tariff for Eid transportation services was announced.

In addition to reducing ticket prices, the government is also trying to strengthen land, sea, air and rail transportation infrastructure to support smooth homecoming.

AHY said that careful calculations were carried out so that this policy was truly effective and not only temporary.

"Therefore, we are formulating, completing all coordination. Because everything must be calculated appropriately, carefully, and in time we will announce it to the public," he said.

AHY added that the success of coordination between ministries/agencies during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays was proof that the government was working optimally, although it was still in the early days of government.
