Worried About Being Politicized, Rizieq Shihab Writes To The Medical Team To Prohibit The Results From Being Revealed

JAKARTA - The defendant Rizieq Shihab admitted that he was reluctant to reveal the results of the COVID-19 swab test for fear of being politicized. If the results are asked properly, Rizieq will definitely give them.

This was disclosed by Rizieq Shihab during the trial with the agenda of examining witnesses from the Public Prosecutor (JPU), at the East Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, April 21.

"I don't want my data to be politicized by anyone. Actually, if outsiders come, I will ask carefully, I will give it," said Rizieq Shihab.

Rizieq Shihab admitted that he had made an official statement letter prohibiting the medical team from disclosing the results of his lab or examination to any party without his permission.

"Yes, so it is not allowed. Anyone can open the results of my examination except with my permission. If it is my permission, please open it," said Rizieq Shihab. In this trial, the prosecutor presented as many as six witnesses, all of whom are doctors.

They are dr. Sarbini Abdul Murad (Mer-C volunteer doctor), dr. Nerina Mayakartifa (UMMI Hospital doctor), dr. Faris Nagib (doctor of UMMI Hospital).

Next there is dr. Hadiki Habib (Mer-C Volunteer Doctor), dr. Nuri Dyah Indrasari (Clinical Pathology Specialist at RSCM), dr.Tonggo Meaty Fransisca (Mer-C Volunteer Doctor).

During the trial, the witness witness dr. Nuri Dyah Indrasari said that the PCR test results were confirmed positive for COVID-19 on behalf of Muhammad R.

However, he admitted that he did not know whether the owner of the sample confirmed positive for COVID-19 was Rizieq Shihab.

Based on the information from the laboratory officer, Nuri Dyah said that the party who delivered the specimen was dr. Hadiki Habib, a Mer-C volunteer doctor in charge of carrying out an antigen swab test for Rizieq Shihab.

"On 27 November, Friday, our officer from the laboratory registration received a sample in the form of VTM (medium transport virus) in which the swab material was contained. When it was confirmed it was from Dr. Habib (Hadiki Habib)," said Nuri Dyah Indrasari.

After checking the completeness of the documents, Nuri said that his party then tested the samples that were sent the next day.

Based on the results of testing these samples, it is known that the results were confirmed positive for COVID-19. "The result came out as positive for COVID-19. So, at that time it was delivered on behalf of Muhammad R according to the request form," he added.
