Surya Paloh Does Not Participate In The Gathering In Hambalang, Represented By The NasDem DPP Management

Chairman of the DPP NasDem Party Willy Aditya answered reporters' questions regarding the gathering of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus with President Prabowo Subianto/DOK ANTARA

JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of the DPP NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, was not present at the gathering of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus with President Prabowo Subianto at his residence in Hambalang, West Java, today. Surya Paloh was represented by the NasDem central board.

Chairman of the NasDem DPP Willy Aditya explained, Surya Paloh will attend the peak event of the 17th Anniversary of the Gerindra Party in SICC, Sentul, Bogor Regency, West Java, Saturday tomorrow.

"So, today Mr. Surya did not come, but the factions and deputy chairmen who came," Willy said in response to a question when met in the courtyard of Garuda Yaksa Padepokan gate, Hambalang, Antara, Friday, February 14.

At SICC, tomorrow, Willy ensures that Surya will be present accompanied by all NasDem central administrators.

"Today (chairman) factions, several members of the deliberative council (party), and elected regional heads from the NasDem Party came to Hambalang today. (The event) is just a gathering. So, this is a coalition gathering. So, that's the agenda," said Willy Aditya.

On the same occasion, Willy said that Gerindra and NasDem had the same spirit, especially since Surya Paloh and Prabowo had been friends for a long time.

"So, they are close together, Pak Prabowo and Pak Surya. That's been a long time friends," continued Willy.

President Prabowo Subianto, as the General Chair of the Gerindra Party DPP, invited the leadership of the general chairman of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus party to stay in touch at his residence in Hambalang, West Java, starting Friday afternoon.

The ranks of party leaders and elected regional heads from KIM Plus began arriving after Friday prayers, causing the queue of vehicles to be quite long along the road from Sentul to Prabowo's residence.

KIM Plus is a party that supports the government, consisting of a number of parties that support the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair during the 2024 presidential election, and other political parties that then express their support for the government of President Prabowo-Wapres Gibran.

These parties include the Gerindra Party, PAN, Democratic Party, Golkar Party, Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Crescent Star Party, Gelora Party, PRIMA, NasDem Party, PKS, and PKB.

Some of the party elites who were seen arriving included the General Chairperson of the PAN DPP Zulkifli Hasan, Chairman of the Advisory Council of PAN Hatta Rajasa, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs who is also PAN politician Bima Arya Sugiarto, General Chairperson of the Gelora Party DPP as well as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Anis Matta, Chairman of the NasDem Party DPP Willy Aditya, General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Bahlil Lahadalia, Chairman of the PSI DPP Kaesang Pangarep and PSI elite.
