BULELENG - Buleleng Police, Bali, said that three suspects in the murder of Pande Gede Putra (53) were motivated by debt problems.

The three female suspects had the initials OSM alias Oky (38), IOP alias Intan (38), and ALY alias Leni (57).

The murder case began because of a problem between the victim and suspect ALY in 2019. The victim dealt with suspect ALY regarding the sale and purchase of hotels in Denpasar City.

"The victim asked the suspect ALY for money with a total of Rp. 5.4 billion for operational sales costs," said Buleleng Police Chief, AKBP Ida Bagus Widwan Sutadi, Thursday, February 13.

Furthermore, after getting the money, the victim disappeared and suspect ALY had contacted the victim several times but had no results.

The suspect then asked for help from the two suspects, namely OSM and IOP, to look for victims.

The two suspects finally managed to find the victim's whereabouts in November 2024. Furthermore, the suspect and the victim discussed the debt issue and the victim were asked to make a commitment to pay off their debts.

In order for the victim not to run away, suspect ALY asked the victim to stay in the boarding house occupied by two OSM and IOP suspects in Pemecutan Kelod Village, Denpasar District, Denpasar City. The victim lived with suspects OSM and IOP from November 2024 until the victim died at the boarding house.

However, as long as the victim lived with the two suspects, the victim also borrowed money with the total debt of the victim to the OSM and IOP suspects, around Rp. 60 million.

"During his stay, the victim also borrowed money from the OSM and IOP suspects with persuasion. In order to return the money to suspect ALY," he said.

In mid-January 2025, the two OSM and IOP suspects only found out that the victim always lied to them on the loan.

The two OSM and IOP suspects were emotional. In addition, there was also an order to kill the suspect ALY to pressure the victim to return his money that had been borrowed by the victim.

In addition, it is known that the OSM and IOP suspects were desperate to kill the victim, after the victim was contacted by a woman and claimed to have been raped by suspect ALY.

"The victim confessed to the woman, she had been raped by the suspect. So apart from debt problems, the victim is said to have vilified the suspects, causing heartache," he said.

Hearing this, the anger of the three peaked until they began to persecute victims and victims were persecuted for 13 days, from January 20, 2025, to death on February 2, 2025.

Furthermore, on February 3, 2025, the bodies of the victims were then dumped by suspects OSM and IOP in the forest of Pancasari Village, Buleleng, Bali.

"Then on February 2, 2025, the OSM and IOP suspects found out that the victim had died and then contacted suspect ALY. And then the three suspects planned to dispose of the victim to the Pancasari area, Buleleng, where the suspect ALY facilitated the vehicle to transport the victim's body," he said.

"The motive is debt problems. The victim has debts with the three suspects. The OSM and OP suspects tortured the victim to death. This was also on the order of suspect ALY to pressure the victim to return the money," he said.
