160 Residents Paste Food Toxics, Sleman Regency Government Set KLB

However, the determination of the KLB status due to mass poisoning is still officially awaiting a decree from the Sleman regent.

As of Monday afternoon, the number of victims of food poisoning continued to increase to 160 people. Of these, 39 people had to undergo hospitalization and health facilities due to severe symptoms, such as diarrhea, nausea, muscle aches, and heat did not fall.

"The update is 160 people, the opname is 39. Observations have started to decrease, only a few have gone home," said Head of the Tempel 1 Health Center, Sleman Diana Kusumawati, Tuesday, February 11.

The Head of Health Services at the Sleman Health Office, Dini Melani, stated that his party had written to the Sleman regent to determine the status of the KLB.

If this status is officially implemented, then health guarantees for victims can be carried out through the Social Safety Net. Thus, the cost of treating patients, both outpatient and hospitalization, can be claimed to the Sleman Health Office or the Sleman Regency Government.

"If there is an extraordinary incident that has been stated by the regent as the regional ruler, it is a health guarantee through the Health JPS in the social service," said Dini Melani.

One of the victims, Zulfa, who is undergoing treatment at the health post, revealed that she began to feel nausea and weakness on Sunday (9/2/2025) early in the morning after eating food at a wedding on Saturday (8/2/2025).

"Makan siomai sama satai, yang dirasakan sakit perut," ujar Zulfa.

Sebelumnya warga yang mengalami gejala keracunan menghadiri hajatan pernikahan di Dusun Krasakan pada Sabtu siang. Mereka menyantap hidangan yang disajikan. Pada Minggu dini hari hingga siang, banyak warga mulai merasakan gejala demam, mual, pusing, dan diare.

The Sleman Health Office is still conducting an investigation to identify the exact cause of this mass poisoning. Food samples consumed by the victims have been sent to the laboratory for examination.
