JAKARTA - Pratu Lukius Y Matuan, a member of Yon Infantry 400 Raider is suspected of having joined the armed criminal group (KKB) led by Sabinus Waker which operates in the Intan Jaya Regency, Papua.

"It is true that currently Pratu Lukius, who was previously a member of Yonif Raider 400, joined the KKB," said Assistant Operations for Kogabwilhan III, Brigadier General Suswatyo.

Lukius joined Raider 400 and was assigned to Intan Jaya Regency from August 2020 to March 2021.

Lukius is thought to have fled since February 12 without carrying a weapon, said Brig. Gen. Suswatyo, adding that Pratu Lukius was considered a traitor and was on the list of KKB members in Intan Jaya.

"The security apparatus will certainly take action if they find it," said Brigadier General Suswatyo.

The data collected states that Pratu Lukius Matuan is a member of Infantry Battalion 410 who is seconded to Raider 400 and both are under Kodam 4 / Diponegoro.

In fact, his digital footprint is known to be friends with pro-KKB accounts.

Meanwhile, Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Andika Perkasa stated that TNI soldiers who joined the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua carried 70 rounds of ammunition and magazines when they fled their posts in February 2021.

The TNI soldier who defected to the KKB with the initials LYM, who had the last rank of pratu, was a member of the 410 / Alugoro Infantry Battalion.

"His weapons are left, but two magazines containing 70 rounds of 5.56 millimeter ammunition. That is what he brought," said Army Chief of Staff General Andika Perkasa, Tuesday, April 20.

This incident is an evaluation for the TNI AD. It is known that soldiers who defected to KKB Papua only joined the TNI unit in 2015.
