JAKARTA - The Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan) Regional Police formed an Anti Street Crime Team. This team is equipped with scorpion type firearms.

The handover of the senpi scorpion was held at the Ditsamapta field of the Central Kalimantan Police, Palangka Raya, Monday, April 19. The handover was made directly by the Head of Central Kalimantan Police, Insp. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo.

The Central Kalimantan Police Chief emphasized the commitment of his staff to clean up and be consistent in overcoming all forms of kamtibmas disturbance. Because of that, the Anti Street Crime Team (TASC) was formed to prevent street crimes that were troubling the public.

"Hopefully this TASC can become the spearhead of the prevention and handling of street crimes that are troubling the people of Central Kalimantan Province," he said as quoted from a statement Tuesday, April 20.

In addition, the Central Kalimantan Regional Police also launched a COVID-19 detector made by Gajah Mada University, namely GeNose C19.

"The GeNose C-19 technology is a tool used for early detection that can detect the corona virus in about two to three minutes with an accuracy of 90 to 97 percent by taking the test sample only through a breath so it is more comfortable and easy," he explained.

The Head of Central Kalimantan Police hopes that this tool can detect COVID-19 early for officers in the field so that the spread of COVID-19 can be reduced.
