Going Around The DKI Governor's Office Ahead Of The Inauguration, Pramono Asks For An Additional Prayer Room

JAKARTA - The elected governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, visited the DKI Jakarta City Hall to recognize his office after being inaugurated as Governor of DKI Jakarta for the 2025-2030 period.

Accompanied by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Teguh Setyabudi, Pramono asked for additional space for him to worship.

The prayer room, said Pramono, will be made to replace the governor's dining table area in his office.

"What needs to be reorganized, maybe just a little one I told the Governor (Teguh), I need a place for the prayer room and there is already a place. So, I think the small place to eat inside is for prayer places," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, February 4.

On that occasion, Teguh invited Pramono to look at various corners of the DKI City Hall, apart from the Governor's office, Pramono was also introduced to the governor's living room, leadership meeting room, Balai Agung, to Balairung.

"He (Pramono) expressed his gratitude. So hopefully he will come here more family, yes," said Teguh.

Returning to Pramono, the former Cabinet Secretary admitted that he had asked the governor's daily duties to Teguh, who had served as Acting Governor of DKI since October 2024.

"I really want to get an idea before God willing, the President will be sworn in as Governor of Jakarta," said Pramono.

After being inaugurated, Pramono admitted that he would appoint 7 special staff (stafsus) to help him. Pramono emphasized that the staff he would hire were different from the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) in the era of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) and Anies Baswedan while serving as Governor of DKI.

"I will have 7 special staff, but of course there are expert staff and I will not use or not use what is called TGUPP," he said.
