DKI Provincial Government Will Change The KJMU Nominal Depending On The Amount Of UKT For Each Student

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will change the nominal amount of the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) distribution. The plan is for the nominal value of KJMU funds to be different for each student.

Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Sarjoko, said that the nominal value of the KJMU which will later be distributed depends on the amount of their respective single tuition fees (UKT).

"We are making changes to the KJMU cost unit. What was originally generalized by all KJMU recipients is Rp. 9,000,000 per semester, now what we determine is the personal costs," said Sarjoko in a working meeting with Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Monday, February 3.

The plan is that the KJMU funds distributed are nominally UKT for each student, plus personal costs ranging from Rp. 500 thousand to Rp. 750 thousand per month.

"So, later we will accept it, it will be different for each student. We will still limit it, the maximum UKT is still IDR 9,000,000," said Sarjoko.

"For example, if the UKT is only Rp. 4,500,000. Then the person concerned will receive the UKT fee, plus how much personal costs per month," added Sarjoko.

Currently, the Education Office is still coordinating with 124 universities that have KJMU recipients related to data collection. The plan is that the determination of student data and the nominal KJMU received will be completed in March 2025, respectively.

Berring dengan itu Dinas Pendidikan juga akan melakukan tahapan melakukan penyesuaian terhadap tahapan KJMU semester 1 tahun 2025 yang dimulai dengan pendaftaran pada 10-21 Maret.

"We will plan to disburse the KJMU funds for the first semester of 2025 in the first week of May 2025," he concluded.
