JAKARTA - The KPK Public Prosecutor (JPU) said the bribes received by former Social Minister Juliari P Batubara from entrepreneurs providing social assistance (bansos) COVID-19 were also enjoyed by other Ministry of Social Affairs officials.

The officials in question include the Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs Hartono, the Director General of Social Protection and Security at the Ministry of Social Affairs Pepen Nazaruddin, two Commitment Making Officials (PPK) namely Matheus Joko Santoso and Adi Wahyono to members of the technical team.

"The 'fee' money from the defendant and other goods providers in the procurement of social assistance for COVID-19 that Matheus Joko Santoso and Adi Wahyono had collected on Juliari P Batubara's orders has been distributed or used for the benefit of Juliari P. Batubara and several officials at the Ministry of Social Affairs, among others, Hartono. , Pepen Nazaruddin, Matheus Joko Santoso, Adi Wahyono, as well as members of the technical team / ULP (Robbin Saputra, Rizki Maulana, Iskandar and Firmansyah), "said KPK prosecutor Ikhsan Fernandi while reading the letter of demands at the Jakarta Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor). The prosecutor of the KPK in this case demanded that the President Director of PT Tigapilar Agro Utama Ardian Iskandar Maddanatja and legal consultant Harry van Sidabukke each be sentenced to 4 years in prison plus a fine of Rp. 100 million, a subsidiary of 4 months in prison for giving bribes to Juliari Batubara.

Ardian is suspected of bribing Juliari worth Rp1.95 billion because he appointed PT Tigapilar Agro Utama as the provider of social assistance for COVID-19 stage 9, 10, community stage and stage 12, totaling 115,000 packages.

Meanwhile, Harry is suspected of bribing Juliari worth IDR1.28 billion for appointing PT Pertani (Persero) and PT Mandala Hamonangan Sude (MHS) as providers of social assistance for COVID-19 staples 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 which a total of 1,519,256 packages.

Bribes were given through two of Juliari's subordinates, namely Matheus Joko Santoso as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) for the procurement of COVID-19 basic food assistance at the Directorate of Social Protection for Social Disaster Victims of the Ministry of Social Affairs for the April-October 2020 period and Adi Wahyono as the Head of General Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs and PPK for the procurement of COVID-19 food assistance -19 October-December 2020 period.

"As well as for the operational interests of the Ministry of Social Affairs, including for the cost of private aircraft charter accommodation, monitoring evaluation costs (monev) other fees, office stationery costs and costs of several events at the Ministry of Social Affairs," added prosecutor Ikhsan.

The fact of the provision and use of bribes, according to the prosecutor of the KPK, is also supported by evidence in the form of money that has been confiscated from Matheus Joko Santoso, which is the proceeds from receiving fees from the two defendants and other providers of goods.

"Evidence confirms that the collection of fees based on Juliari Peter Batubara's orders is true," said the prosecutor.

Regarding these demands, Ardian and Harry will submit a plea note on Monday, April 26, 2021.
