JAKARTA - Member of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Eka Widodo, supports President Prabowo Subianto in evaluating the national strategic project (PSN). Edo also encouraged a revision of the Job Creation Law which is the 'prone' to land tenure for the project.
One example of land control due to the implementation of the Job Creation Law is sea fencing in the waters of Tangerang Regency, Banten. Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid said a total of 254 building rights certificates (SHGB) and certificates of ownership (SHM) owned by two companies and one individual on the sea fence land.
The PKB legislator from the Central Java IX electoral district said that the control of land in Tangerang waters clearly damaged the environment and harmed fishermen. Therefore, Edo assessed that the revocation of land certificates by the Minister of ATR/BPN was appropriate.
"The land certificate has been revoked by the Minister of ATR/BPN, Mr. Nusron Wahid. We support Pak Nusron's steps," said Edo, Wednesday, January 29.
Edo continued, his party supports the PSN evaluation that will be carried out by President Prabowo because this step is important to find out whether the strategic project has gone well or not.
"If there are projects that violate the rules, manipulate licensing, damage the environment, and violate the law, then the project must be terminated and the permit revoked," said Edo.

According to Edo, the 30.16 km long sea fence in Tangerang cannot be separated from the enactment of the Job Creation Law Number 11 of 2020 or the Omnibus Law and the issuance of derivative government regulations, one of which is related to PSN.
Provisions related to marine management are contained in Article 16-18 of the Job Creation Law which basically states that if there is a national strategic project that does not yet have room, the permit is issued by the central government (president). This means that even though the local government (governor) does not issue a permit, the project can still run.
"This is where irregularities occur, the sea does function for natural resources, transportation facilities, and transportation media, all of which are based at sea. Sea protection is clearly a violation," said Edo.
Edo admitted that he helped monitor the implementation of the Job Creation Law which was also mentioned by the Sapu Jagat Law. At least 21 articles have been sued and the Constitutional Court has been granted for revision.
"We shouldn't find it difficult to uncover the interests of sea fencing behind the smooth ratification, the issuance of legislation or the provisions that cover it," said Edo.
The politician who was born in Pemalang added that as long as the Job Creation Law and its derivatives are still valid, various dramas of controlling state assets by the oligarchy will continue to occur.
"The case of exploring the sea is the result of the forced ratification of the Omnisbus Law on Job Creation, even though there are many floods of criticism and demonstrations and victims of material," said Edo.
As is known, the 30.16 kilometer long sea fence land is adjacent to Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2. Not far from the sea fence, the developer also plans to build a Tropical Coastland PIK. The project has been included in the list of national strategic projects (PSN) since March 2024.
Currently, the project is in the spotlight after the government stated that it will evaluate PSN. One of the things that will be evaluated is the PIK 2 project. Especially after the problem of the sea fence emerged in the Tangerang area, Banten.
