Ministry Of Religion Announces List Of Special JCHs That Have The Right To Pay Hajj Fees This Year

The Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry of Religion made a breakthrough in Hajj operations 1446 H/2025 AD by announcing the list of special pilgrims (JCH) who are entitled to pay this year's Hajj costs.

"The special list of names of pilgrims is announced openly through the website of the Ministry of Religion and the media. This is part of transparency," said Director General of Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry of Religion, Hilman Latief, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 23.

Hilman said this approach is the same as that of regular Hajj candidates. Those who have the right to pay are announced openly.

So far, said Hilman, the list of names of special Hajj candidates has not been announced, but has been summoned through the Special Hajj Organizers (PIHK). Starting this year, the list of names of special Hajj candidates is announced openly.

"So, all pilgrims can access the list of names entitled to pay off this year's Hajj costs. This is our commitment to information disclosure," said Hilman.

"Socialization is also needed in order to optimize the absorption of special hajj quotas. Last year, there were still 250 special hajj quotas left, larger than the rest of the regular hajj quota. This year, quota filling must be maximized," said Hilman.

The special 2025 hajj quota is 17,680 people. This number consists of 16,128 special hajj candidates who are entitled to pay the hajj fee based on the portion number, 177 elderly priority (1 percent), and 1,375 Hajj officers (PIHK responsible officers, supervisors, health workers).

Director of Umrah and Special Hajj for Nugraha Stiawan explained that the filling of the quota for special pilgrims is carried out every working day from January 24 to February 7, 2025. If there is still any remaining, then the remaining quota will be reopened from February 17 to 21, 2025.

"For filling in the remaining final quota, if it is still there, it will be carried out from 27 to 28 February 2025. I ask the Heads of the Hajj Division, so that the process of filling out this special hajj quota must really be carried out according to the provisions," he said.
