KPK Questions Bayu Suryo Adiwinata After Confiscating Mercedes Car and BMW Moge in LPEI Case

"The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters, Thursday, January 23.

During the examination, continued Tessa, investigators explored a number of things. Including regarding the suspect's assets.

"The witness was investigated regarding his relationship with the suspect's assets," he said.

The investigation into this asset was also carried out by investigators against other witnesses, namely Syaiful Hendra who is the Head of the Special Audit Division at the LPEI Internal Audit.

The investigators also plan to examine Anthony Tampubolon, who is the former Head of the LPEI Department of Business Risk Analysis in 2014. However, he was not present.

As previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption related to the provision of credit facilities from the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI). The confiscation of money and jewelry has been carried out after investigators searched a number of places in East Kalimantan on July 31, August 2.

The amount of money found by investigators at that time reached Rp4.6 billion; 6 units of vehicles; 13 precious metals; 9 watches; 37 luxury bags; and 100 jewelry. Then investigators also obtained electronic evidence in the form of laptops and hard drives as well as evidence in the form of documents.

Selain itu, penyidik juga menyita puluhan aset tanah dan bangunan. Properti ini ditaksir bernilai Rp200 miliar.

Tak sampai di situ, penyidik juga menyita tiga vespa senilai Rp1,5 miliar dan mobil bermerek Wuling dengan taksiran Rp350 juta. Sumber VOI menyebut temuan ini didapat dari rumah eks Dirut PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) Tbk periode 2019-2023.

Then, investigators confiscated a Mercedes Benz branded car and a BMW big motorbike worth Rp. 2.6 billion. This vehicle was confiscated from a private party named Bayu Suryo Adiwinata alias Romo.
