The Attorney General's Office Confiscates 2 Cars Of The President Director Of PT Duta Sugar International In The Sugar Import Corruption Case

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) confiscated two cars belonging to the President Director of PT Duta Sugar Internasional (PT DSI), Hendrogianto Antonio Tiwon or HAT, who is a suspect in the alleged corruption case of sugar imports at the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) for the 2015-2016 period.

Hendrogianto Antonio Tiwon or HAT is known to be one of two suspects who are fugitives in the alleged corruption case.

"Yes, it is true that investigators confiscated 2 units of the suspect HAT's car," said Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar to VOI, Wednesday, January 22.

The two cars belonging to Hendrgianto Antonio Tiwon or HAT were confiscated in the Mercedes-Benz and Chery Omoda types. The luxury vehicle was confiscated from the suspect's house in Jakarta.

Hendrogianto Antonio Tiwon or HAT was arrested in the Pangkalanbuun area, Central Kalimantan. In this case, the Managing Director of PT Duta Sugar International acted similarly to 8 other suspects.

They consolidate to determine who will import sugar. In fact, the company of the suspects, including Hendrgianto Antonio Tiwon, only has a permit as a producer of refined sugar. Only SOEs have the right to import white crystal sugar.

"I think the method is the same as for the suspect who has been determined," said Harli.

For information, nine new suspects in the alleged corruption case of impo sugar, namely; Tonny Wijaya NG (TW) as President Director of PT Angels Products (PT AP) for the 2015-2016 period; Wisnu Hendraningrat (WN) as President Director of PT Andalan Furnindo for the 2011-2024 period.

Hansen Setiawan (HS) as President Director of PT Sentra Usahatama Jaya peroide 2016; and Indra Suryaningrat (IS) as President Director of PT Medan Sugar Industry (PT MSI) for the 2016 period;

Then, Then Surianto Eka Prasetyo (TSEP) as the President Director of PT Makassar Tene (PT MT) for the 2016 period; Hendrogianto Antonio Tiwon (HAT) as President Director of PT Duta Sugar Internasional (PT DSI); Ali Sanjaya B (ASB) as President Director of PT Kebun Tebu Mas (PT KTM); Hans Falita Hutama (HFH) as President Director of PT Berkah Manis Makmur (PT BMM); and Eka Sapanca (ES) as President Director of PT Permata Dunia Sukses Utama (PT PDSU) for the 2016 period.
