Thousands Of People Crowding At The Rizieq Shihab Event, Kasatpol PP Called The Majority Not Megamendung Residents

JAKARTA - Kasatpol PP Bogor Regency, Agus Ridho, said that the crowd who attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Islamic Islamic Boarding School Markaz Islamic Boarding School by Habib Rizieq Shihab reached thousands of people. In fact, many come from outside the Megamendung area.

This statement began when the public prosecutor (JPU) touched on the situation at the venue of the event. However, Agus said he did not know because he was not at the location.

However, if we refer to the results of the reports received, the number of people who attended or attended the event reached three thousand people.

"There were quite a lot of people present, so the information was approximately three thousand people in the field," said Agus at the trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Monday, April 19.

Of the thousands of people, Agus said that many also ignored health protocols. Even these violations have been reported to the police.

"During the meeting we discussed the issue at the time of the incident when it was announced that there was a violation of the prokes at that time we reported it to the police," he said.

"The first does not wear a mask, the second does not maintain a distance because the distance is not suitable, there is no means of washing hands, and the number is more than 300 and the hour is more than 3 hours," continued Agus.

In addition, of the thousands of people who attended the event, many of them came from outside the Megamendung area. However, Agus could not confirm the local origin of the mass.

"Based on the data, many of the outside are not residents of Megamendung and the boarding school itself," he said.

Meanwhile, in this case Rizieq Shihab was accused of not complying with the implementation of health quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rizieq Shihab continued to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Markaz Syariah Agro-Cultural Islamic Boarding School in Kuta Village, Megamendung District, Bogor Regency.

"(The defendant) did not comply with the administration of health quarantine as referred to in Article 9 paragraph (1) and / or obstructed the implementation of the Health Quarantine so that it was a public health emergency," said the prosecutor reading out the indictment.

Thus, Rizieq Shihab was charged with violating Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine in conjunction with Article 14 paragraph (1) of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases in conjunction with Article 216 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
