Searching For Jozeph Paul Zhang's Whereabouts, Claiming Prophets And Challenging Reporting

JAKARTA - Jozeph Paul Zhang, a man who claims to be the 26th prophet is being hunted down. So far, it is known that he is not in Indonesia.

The hunt for Jozeph Paul Zhang began after the National Police received a Police Report (LP) prepared by the Director of the Legal Mafia Eradication Committee (KPMH) Husin Shahab.

The report is registered under the number LP / B / 0253 / IV / 2021 / BARESKRIM dated April 17, 2021.

This reporting was carried out because Jozeph Paul Zhang's recognition as the 26th prophet was considered troubling. This confession was conveyed in a discussion forum via zoom which was also broadcast on his personal YouTube channel.

The man opened a zoom discussion forum entitled "Fasting the Lalim Islam". He also challenged anyone who dared to report himself to the police regarding blasphemy by claiming to be the 26th prophet.

Meanwhile, Bareskrim Polri who handled this case took Interpol to hunt down Jozeph Paul Zhang's whereabouts.

Kabareskrim Polri, Komjen Agus Andrianto, said that from the start, he suspected Jozeph Paul Zhang was not in Indonesia.

Therefore, his party coordinated with the immigration authorities who knew the data on the crossing of Jozeph Paul Zhang had left Indonesia since January 2018. However, continued Agus, this did not prevent his party from exploring the case and was preparing investigative documents.

"The investigation mechanism will continue even if the person concerned is abroad," said Komjen Agus, Sunday, April 18.

Agus said that Bareskrim Polri was cooperating with foreign police and made a wanted list (DPO) for Jozeph Paul Zhang so that he could be deported from the country where he was.

"The cooperation mechanism for the foreign police can work, whether the country where he is concerned lives to deport him. The DPO will be issued later," said Agus.

On a separate occasion, Husin, who is the reporter on this case, mentioned information about the whereabouts of Jozeph Paul Zhang. The man is said to be in Germany.

"Yes, I heard information from some netizens saying that Jozeph is in Germany and then the Police Chief himself has investigated Immigration to check directly that this person is traveling abroad," said Husin.

"I don't know, but how could I run to Germany. According to the information from the National Police Chief, this person abroad is not in Indonesia," he continued.

With this information, Husin hopes that the Police can immediately arrest Jozeph Paul Zhang. Because, his statement was very hateful. In fact, it can lead to conflict.

"I want the police to show their integrity. In order for humans like this who are abroad, these models do not carelessly spread hate speech, religious sentiment, including fake news which with this technology, it is easy to spread fake news of hate speech that can sparking conflict in our country and being left wild abroad, "he said.
