KLUNGKUNG Heavy rain and strong winds that hit Klungkung Regency, Bali, on Sunday, January 19, caused landslides to hit the Wantilan building. This incident resulted in four people dying and several others being injured.

Dawan Police Chief, AKP Gede Budirta, revealed that at the time of the incident, residents were praying in the Wantilan.

"Suddenly a big rock fell due to heavy rain and hit the residents, causing four people to die," he said.

Based on data from the Head of Public Relations of the Klungkung Police, AKP Agus Widiono, the victims who died were I Wayan Nata, I Nengah Mertayasa, I Nyoman Mudiana, and I Ketut Surata.

Of the four victims, one of them, I Nyoman Mudiana, is still being searched. The search for victims who have not been found will continue on Monday morning.

Apart from the fatalities, four other people were injured, namely I Ketut Mumbul, I Gede Aswin, I Gusti Made Ariasa, and I Wayan Kicen.

Until now, residents and authorities are still evacuating and restoring the situation at the scene.
