Bobby Nasution Deploys TNI-Polri To Eradicate 'Asmara Dawn' Idol Of Medan Youth In Ramadan

MEDAN - The Medan City Government in North Sumatra is trying to eliminate the tradition of 'morning romance' which is so loved by some young people in Medan City. This tradition is usually carried out after performing the Fajr prayer in the holy month of Ramadan.

"In Ramadan, after dawn, there are still many people doing bad habits. In fact, in this holy month, we have to seek blessings," said Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution in Medan as reported by Antara, Saturday, April 17.

This activity, he continued, was very popular because it took place every year. He said that young people in the city of Medan carry out various activities, including dating, so that they are judged to diminish the value of blessings in the month of Ramadan.

The mayor asked the entire joint team, consisting of the TNI / Polri security apparatus, civil service police, transportation services, and sub-district authorities to monitor and prevent 'morning romance' by prioritizing persuasive action.

"I am sure that if the control is implemented properly, then in the next 11 months there will be a change in behavior for the better in the community. I would like to thank the joint team involved in controlling this 'dawn romance'," said Bobby.

The Head of Administration of the Medan Regional Secretariat for Administration, Rasyid Ridho Nasution, said the joint team for monitoring and preventing the "dawn romance" would be carried out for 10 days.

"Starting from April 17 to May 9, 2021, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday we will control six sub-district points, namely Medan Sunggal, Medan Johor, Medan Kota, Medan Belawan, West Medan, and Medan Marelan," he said.
