Karawang Regent: For Retired Officials To Return Official Vehicles

KARAWANG - Regent of Karawang, West Java, Aep Syaepuloh conveyed that officials within the Karawang Regency Government (Pemkab) have retiredly returned official vehicles to related device organizations.

"For all retired Karawang Regency Government officials who still hold official vehicles that are not their rights anymore, they should be immediately returned to the local government," said Regent Aep Syaepuloh in Karawang, Antara, Thursday, January 16.

He said the official's official vehicle was one of the assets belonging to the local government. So its use must really be in accordance with the designation.

The Regent said that his party had held an official vehicle rally at the Karawang Regency Government complex on Wednesday. This was done as an effort to check and collect data on official vehicles belonging to the Karawang Regency Government.

Checking official vehicles is also carried out to ensure that the condition of the local government's assets is in good condition and its utilization is in accordance with the designation.

In accordance with the reports received, he said, until now there are still official vehicles belonging to the local government that are still controlled by retired officials.

The Regent appealed to the retired Karawang Regency Government officials who still hold official vehicles to immediately return them to the Karawang Regency Government.

According to the Karawang Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency, the mobile assets in the form of cars and motorbikes belonging to the Karawang Regency Government reached 995 cars and 2,241 motorbikes. In addition, 290 cars were used by the village government.

In the first stage of checking official vehicles, said the regent, 219 vehicles were checked.

The Regent said that in the next few days his party will gather all sub-district heads to check the condition of the Karawang Regency Government's assets spread across 30 sub-districts.

In addition to controlling assets, the inspection of this official vehicle is also an effort by the Karawang Regency Government to increase the value of the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) of the Karawang Regency Government.

"So far, we have not checked the conditions and whereabouts of vehicle assets belonging to the Karawang Regency Government for a long time. The goal is that we can find out the needs for the future," he said.

Vehicles that have been registered, he said, will then be processed so that their utilization can be in accordance with the provisions. In addition, vehicles that are no longer suitable for use will later be auctioned off by the Karawang Regency Government Assets Section.

"I ask that all vehicles be presented regardless of their condition, if they are still feasible, they will be used and utilized, those that are no longer feasible will be auctioned," he said.
