JAKARTA - The National Police said that criminal content was mostly found on Twitter. Based on virtual police data, 195 contents of hate speech and SARA (conflict between groups that can cause hatred) were recorded.

Head of Public Relations Division of the Police Ahmad Ramadhan, said that in less than two months, 329 content on all social media were removed.

"The 329 content submitted for the virtual police warning was dominated by Twitter with 195 content and Facebook with 112 content", Ramadhan told reporters, Friday, April 16.

This data is based on the virtual police performance in the two months of monitoring from February 23 to April 12. But not all of the hundreds of contents fulfill the elements of Article 28 paragraph 2 of the Constitution of electronic information and transaction.

Almost part of the total content does not fulfill criminal elements. Some are still in the verification stage.

"Of the 329 content, 200 were declared to have passed verification, passed verification or content that met hate speech based on SARA", Ramadhan said.

"Meanwhile, 91 content has not passed verification. Then 38 content is in the verification process", he continued.
