JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI, Ahmad Riza Patria, said that the overpayment of Rp. 6.5 billion for the purchase of a fire engine has been largely returned. The private sector will pay the rest

"I asked the head of the Fire and Rescue Agency. There was an overpayment of Rp. 6.5 billion and the remaining Rp1.5 billion has been returned and will be settled by the private sector in these weeks," said Riza at City Hall DKI, Jakarta. Center, Friday, April 16.

Riza said, the term overpayment contained in the procurement of fire engines does not mean that the DKI Provincial Government buys goods with more money than the original price.

Previously, the DKI Provincial Government did not know that the price was not right. Until finally there was an examination by the Supreme Audit Agency. BPK stated that there were items that the BPK felt were not quite right so that it was considered irrational that they should be returned

"There are values that according to the BPK are inappropriate or inadequate or considered irrational, so they must be returned. Because the BPK audit agency is the highest audit institution, of course we must obey and obey," said Riza.

Meanwhile, Head of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat), Satriadi Gunawan, opened his voice about the procurement of fire trucks that are paid more than the price of goods in his office.

Regarding this, Satriadi claimed that his party had returned 90 percent of the Rp6.5 billion excess paid. However, Satriadi was reluctant to say how much the amount of money was returned.

"The development, we have returned 90 percent. (The nominal) just count, I don't know," said Satriadi.

Previously, the Jakarta Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) revealed that there was an overpayment for the purchase of fire extinguishers by the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat).

Based on the 2019 DKI Provincial Government financial reports, the BPK found four packages of funds for the procurement of fire engines with expenses that exceed the price of the equipment. The total overpayment was recorded at around IDR 6.5 billion.
