Called Failed To Prove State Loss Of IDR 300 Trillion, AGO: There Was A Court Decision

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) stated that the value of state losses of Rp. 300 trillion in the alleged corruption case in the management of tin commodity trading in the mining business permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk was appropriate and included in the decision of the judges of the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor).

The statement was made in response to the assumption that the AGO failed to prove the value of the state's losses in the case.

"In fact, in the decision of the Corruption Court, it has been stated that the loss of environmental damage is a state financial loss," said Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar to VOI, Wednesday, January 8.

According to him, in the decision of the panel of judges who handled the tin corruption case, state losses were divided into two, namely state finances and environmental damage.

From this decision, the value of environmental damage is very large. So, if the amount of state losses reaches Rp. 300 trillion.

"So the state financial loss of 29 T and the environmental damage loss of 271 T is state financial loss, so where did it fail?" said Harli.

Criminal law expert Chairul Huda said the AGO could not prove the value of state financial losses. In fact, at the judicial or trial stage.

I think Rp300 trillion, where is Rp300 trillion? The name Rp300 trillion is not proven. Because it is not proven that while he is already busy covering up suspects from these companies," he said.
